Delivery

How does delivery work?

We utilize reusable coolers to deliver to homes, offices and apartments. During checkout you can purchase one of our coolers to use, or you can provide your own (just make sure it’s the right size!). Our driver will leave your meals along with ice packs to keep your food safe and cool. With each delivery, just leave out your old ice packs and we will continue to reuse them! You do not need to be home to receive your delivery but we recommend moving the meals to the fridge as soon as you are able to ensure the best quality.

Do you deliver to my address?

To see if we delivery to your home, head to our order page, click on delivery, and enter your address. If it is outside of our delivery zone, you can head to the locations tab on our site to see if there is a convenient drop site near you for pick up!

What does home delivery cost?

Delivery fees start at $4.99 per week for most plans!

When will my meals be delivered when using the home delivery service?

During checkout you will select the delivery day you would like to receive meals. We deliver between 8am and 8pm each delivery day. You do NOT need to be home to receive the delivery.

What if I forget to leave out my cooler?

If for some reason you forget, we will provide an additional cooler for you. If we do provide a cooler for you a $20 charge will be added to your account. This will be refunded whent the loaned cooler is returned to us

Do I have to be home for my delivery?

Nope! On the day of delivery you will get a notification when your meals have been delivered to your waste-reducing cooler. We recommend moving them into a refrigerator within 5 to 6 hours.

Do you deliver to apartments?

Yes. If you live in an apartment, please leave detailed instructions for our delivery driver when placing your order. If we can’t gain access to the building or get ahold of you we will not leave the meals outside of the building. They will instead be delivered to our office, contact info@originmeals to arrange your pick up. If you are unable to utilize our cooler solution, we recommend using your nearest pickup location.

Will I be notified when my meals have been delivered?

We will send you a text notification when your meals are on the way and have been delivered.

Pickup

What time will my meals be available for pick up?

Meals will be at your chosen pick up location as soon as that location opens on your pick up day. Please check the gym schedule to coordinate your pick up time. Some gyms have gaps in the middle of they day when they do not have classes and they lock their doors!

What day will meals be available for pick-up at my selected location?

Early week shipments are ready for pickup each Monday, and mid-week shipments are ready for pickup each Thursday.

What if I forget to pick up my meals?

We highly encourage you to get your meals on your pickup day. If you are unable to pick up your meals they will stay fresh in our fridge until you get there. Please note that since our meals are freshly-prepared and refrigerated (NOT FROZEN) the meals will expire within 4-6 days of delivery. For food safety, we will dispose of meals that have not been picked up before their expiration date.

What is the difference between your meal plans?

Paleo: Our original menu that follows the Paleo diet. This means proteins, vegetables, healthy fats, and minimal fruits.Our paleo line is also Whole30 Approved™. Balance: The balance plan is a plan that provides a balance of complex carbohydrates, high quality proteins and healthy fats. Keto: Based on the ketogenic diet that emphasizes a higher level of high quality fats, moderate levels of protein and very low carb.

How do I reheat my meals?

For meals that we recommend heating, sautéing in a skillet is the preferred method: Place contents of meal in skillet, turn burner to medium heat, stirring as necessary until desired warmth is achieved. For those on the go, our containers are microwave friendly: Remove lid, microwave on high in 45 second intervals, stirring as necessary, until desired warmth is achieved.

What’s the nutritional makeup of your meals?

Nutritional information of each meal is available on the menu page.

Are your containers recyclable?

The containers we use are #5 plastic. Check with your local recycling company to see if they will pick-up #5 curbside.

Can I pause my subscription?

Yes! From your account screen you can view the upcoming delivery calendar. Select the "skip week" button for the plan you would like to skip. We ask that you please make adjustments prior to the order deadline day (each Wednesday at midnight) to avoid errant charges.

Can you accommodate food allergies and special requests?

Yes. You’ll find a "Food Allergies and Intolerances" form as you complete the ordering process.If you have specific food allergies or sensitivities or have strong food dislikes, we’ll ensure you don’t receive these ingredients. Note that we may substitute a different meal in place of modifying ingredients within a dish and/or you will receive doubles of another meal that week.
